This story began years ago with my young 6-year-old son saving my life just after my fallopian tube ruptured. Yes, I was pregnant with his little brother or sister, 11 weeks to be exact. Unfortunately, I had an Ectopic pregnancy and didn't know it. Soon after the pain began, my tube had ruptured beyond repair, and I was bleeding internally. I was passed out on the floor, and my little boy found me and immediately sprang into action. He called my sister, his Aunt Jill, and told her my mommy won't wake up. Through his quick actions, I was able to be rushed to the hospital just in the nick of time. It was a traumatic event for our family, especially Kyle, who nearly lost his mother. The next traumatic event would arrive when Kyle was just 14 years old. He was chosen by fate to become the man of the house when his father, Charlie, was killed in a car accident. Again he sprang into action and helped fill the role that was way too soon for a teenage boy to fill. Now, all I ever wanted for my son was for him to grow up and have a wonderful life and for most of his dreams to come true. My Son married a Godly woman whom I am blessed to call my daughter-in-law. They both have always longed to love and care for their own children. Kyle and Adrian began dreaming and talking about starting their family soon after marriage. So deeply in love, and they were now ready for this next step. The struggle became real after the first miscarriage and having a few medical complications to deal with. As time passed, they and many others prayed for God to bless them with their first child. Instead, time kept ticking along year after year, with many failed attempts, doctors’ appointments, and costly fertility endeavors. At the same time, all other siblings, friends, and family members were building their families with what seemed to be ease. Kyle and Adrian’s hearts were breaking. Now, time is of the essence. They are on their last attempt with IVF and have several grade A embryos, which is great news. But, as you know, this comes at a high cost, upwards of $40,000 in expenses. They are humble and have never asked for help, but I realize that, unfortunately, as we age, our biological clock ticks away at a more rapid speed, or so it seems. This couple works hard, and Kyle is always helping others through his business, giving discounts anytime needed. Adrian is a school teacher who pours her heart and soul into helping other people’s children carve their paths in life. I ask myself, as Kyle's mother, is it possible for them to receive a little help now. They joyfully serve and help others all the time? I decided to start this fundraising endeavor to help them with the many expenses they will incur.
