“Mommy, can I have a sibling?” Almost two years ago, my sweet son Beau asked me for a brother or a sister to play with, and ever since then I have tried so hard to make his dream, now my dream, come true for our little family. I recently turned 41, and after months and months of trying to conceive, both naturally and with failed fertility medications and IUI, I am running out of time. I have been told by doctors that I have a good chance of success with IVF, but as a middle class family with limited insurance coverage, we are unable to afford the cost of the IVF treatment.
