Our IVF Journey: A Story of Hope, Faith, and Never Giving Up
Our journey to becoming parents has not been an easy one, but it is a journey filled with love, faith, and the hope of one day holding our very own miracle in our arms.
My husband, Drew, has faced more challenges in his life than most people could ever imagine. At just 16 years old, he suffered a broken neck that changed his life forever. Since then, he has lived with nerve damage, POTS, and heart issues. He is currently going through the disability process, which has brought even more uncertainty into our lives.
Through it all, Drew has continued to show strength and determination. I have watched him face challenges that no one should have to face, and it has made me admire him even more. He has been through so much, and all I want is for us to have the opportunity to experience the joy of becoming parents together.
Along with Drew's health struggles, we have also been facing our own battle with infertility. I have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, which has been one of the hardest things for me to understand and accept.
Not having an explanation for why we have been unable to conceive has left us with so many unanswered questions. There are days when I wonder why something that comes so naturally to others has been so difficult for us.
We have dreamed about the day we would find out we were expecting, the excitement of sharing the news with our families, hearing our baby's heartbeat for the first time, and finally holding our little one in our arms.
These are moments we have prayed for and dreamed about, but they have remained just out of reach.
Infertility is something that affects you in ways that are difficult to explain unless you have experienced it yourself. It is the emotional roller coaster of getting your hopes up month after month, only to be disappointed again. It is trying to remain positive while quietly wondering if your dream of becoming a parent will ever come true.
Some days are harder than others, but we continue to hold on to our faith and believe that our story is not over.
IVF has given us a new sense of hope and a possible path toward the family we have dreamed of having. However, the financial burden of treatment is something we cannot face alone, especially with Drew's ongoing health challenges and the uncertainty surrounding his disability.
Asking for help is not easy for us, but becoming parents means more to us than we could ever put into words.
We are not asking for anything extravagant. We are simply asking for the chance to build our family, experience the love of raising a child together, and give our baby a life filled with love, laughter, and happiness.
We know that IVF does not come with guarantees, but we want to be able to say that we gave our dream of becoming parents every chance possible.
If you feel led to support our journey, whether through a donation, sharing our story, or simply keeping us in your prayers, please know how much it means to us. Every act of kindness brings us a little closer to the possibility of making our dream come true.
We believe that God has a plan for our lives, even when we do not understand the timing or the challenges along the way.
Our journey may look different from what we once imagined, but our love for the child we hope to have is already greater than words could ever describe.
We are holding on to hope, trusting in God's timing, and praying that one day we will be able to share the news that our prayers have been answered.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our journey and helping us hold on to the dream of becoming parents.
With love and gratitude,
Drew & Abby
