I’ve never been someone who is capable of telling a short story, so here’s the long version. 🤣 I have pretty much always known that I wanted to adopt one day. I truly believe it’s a calling from the Lord. A couple years ago I started taking it very seriously. I’ve been researching agencies, laws, what the process looks like, started a savings account specifically for this, and so much more. But most importantly, I asked God for his perfect timing. I think I imagined my life looking a certain way before I started the process, but when I took it to the Lord he very gently reminded me “I didn’t put stipulations on it. I just told you to do it.” And as if that wasn’t enough, he has been so so so kind and confirmed it over and over. The unfortunate news about adoption is that the average cost is $30,000-$50,000. BUT I serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. This amount is easy for Him! I don’t have any doubts that God has called me to this. This isn’t the first time I’ve chased a God dream that seemed impossible. He has been faithful over and over, and I believe he is doing it again! A handful of people have been helping me pray into this, but now I’m excited to widen the circle. They say it takes a village right?! Thanks for going on this journey with me.
