Ann & Hugh’s family journey

Hello, our names are Hugh and Ann Huffines. Over the last few years, we have been trying to have a family.  However, right now we only have furbabies, which we love dearly, but we would like to eventually have a little munchkin in addition to our furbabies. Our fertility journey have included numerous bloodwork, sometimes multiple times a week, on Hugh to test any possible genetic disorders, monitoring and attempting to regulate hormone levels.  However, after numerous labwork, results came back with no genetic disorders.  Yet, his analysis still resulted in azoospermia (zero sperm).  We continued to do more research and find additional doctors to perform tests and surgeries.  He has undergone microTESE ($7,000), and the results also came back with him being azoospermia.  At this time, we thought our only option would be adoption, but we luckily found a doctor in California that was able to perform a procedure called Fine Needle Aspiration ($15,000) to do testicular mapping of both testicles with 18 needle aspirations per testicle.  The results came back again being azoospermia, but the doctor is optimistic that Hugh is not fully azoospermia, but instead has low sperm count .  The doctor's thoughts for us is to continue planning and working up with IVF with ICSI as we continue treatment with this particular doctor.
