Updated- Unfortunately our first & second IVF's were unsuccessful. Yes, we did a second round but feel it's easier at this point to try and keep our process a bit more private since it's not going nearly as we planned. We've decided to take a step back to regroup & see what's really going on. The hardest part is since we are a same sex couple, it's easy to think there's "nothing wrong" but we're coming to think that's not true and so are our doctors. One concern is endometriosis which causes lots of inflammation and infertility. Unfortunately, this can only be detected and treated with surgery. In this time of stepping back we're focused completely on our health, lowering inflammation, taking new supplements and medicine that our doctor believes will help. We've also decided that since I, Shannon have had my "turn", it's time for Ashley to take on the jabs (literally) and do a round of IVF. Thank you for your continued support!!! We need it now more than ever xoxo It’s no secret that we’ve been trying to have a baby for some time now but after 4 IUI’s, a few tries at home, and spending over $15,000, our doctor has recommended we pursue IVF. ------ This is a massive step but what can we say, we so badly want to be moms! IVF has the highest conception rates, but the average cost is $30,000. Thankfully we’ve found an amazing clinic in New York that offers it for 1/3 of the price, giving us a chance to afford this fertility treatment. We’re over halfway there and as hard it is for us; we feel it’s time to ask for help with the remaining expenses. Since we’ve included all of you in our journey so far, we would like to extend that even further- We have bought a 520-piece puzzle and are selling pieces of it for $10.
