My name is Alyson. We have tried to conceive for 7 years and are considered unexplained infertility. We have both been through surgery (varicocele and polypectomy) to help our odds, but have been unsuccessful. Although we are still younger than many going through IVF we want nothing more than to become a mom and dad some day. It’s hard to watch others live the life you’ve dreamed about for so long. Everyday is harder than the last. Every cycle cuts a little deeper. We sold our house and lived in a camper for two years to help pay for IVF. We have done whatever we could to get there but unfortunately there comes a time when you can’t keep affording the heartbreak. We did a round of IVF and got 6 fertilized eggs. Two did not progress after that. We did one transfer, which failed. We have three beautiful little embryos in cryopreservation. But life is hard, and expensive for everyone right now. We understand that. We really do. We just can’t afford the transfer fees as of right now.
