Hello there, and thanks for finding your way to our page! We are Brian and Rebecca and, it's our hope, that after hearing our story you might be willing to help donate or spread the word to others and help us begin to grow our family through surrogacy. Many families have unique journeys and there are lots of reasons why different people pursue surrogacy; ours is one of medical necessity. When I (Rebecca) was in college, I experienced my first seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. This news was scary on its own and started me on a painful process of trial and error to find the right medication and dosage that worked for me. For those who aren't familiar with epilepsy, "worked me me" meant being able to go about my day-to-day without the fear and anxiety that I might have a seizure at any moment; on the train, at work, standing in the shower, carrying groceries, you get the idea. While this has brought more relief to both me and Brian than I can express, it has also presented an additional, painful obstacle: while on my medication, I am physically unable to safely carry a child. But, just as medicine provided the means to live with my epilepsy and regain control of my life, we are hopeful it will allow us to start our family. In order to make surrogacy a reality, it's our goal to raise $100,000. We know it's a lot and are beyond appreciative of anything and everything you might be able to contribute.
