Hello! We are Andrew and Carmella Hanlon and we need your help to fulfill our dream of becoming parents! We are fundraising to help us pay for our surrogacy journey, and we cannot do this without the support of our community. Using a surrogate is medically necessary for us because, when I (Carmella) was 2.5 years old I was diagnosed with a brain tumor on my pituitary gland, which led to medical issues during important years of development and so my body is not fit to carry a child. We already have the embryo creation and medical costs to transfer those embryos handled; your donation will go toward an escrow fund to pay for the costs associated with surrogacy (agency fees, surrogate compensation, legal fees, and more). We've already matched with an INCREDIBLE surrogate and we are ready to move forward as soon as we have the financial component figured out. Once you make a donation, we will put your name on a puzzle piece and the finished puzzle will be framed in our child's bedroom so they know just how many people helped us bring them into this world! A little bit about us: We met doing high school theater in 2008 and we've been together for 16 years (married for almost 9 of those years). We both went to UW-River Falls for our bachelor degrees. During that time we studied abroad and got engaged in Verona, Italy, in 2013. We were married in 2015 and currently reside in Minnesota with our dog, Nutmeg. We've always talked about wanting children and we are so excited to finally be on this incredible journey!
