Dear family and friends, while we are pretty much open books about our lives, we have been struggling to share this chapter, but here we go. We have been on a journey to start our family for a couple of years now, and it's been a challenging road. After some time, we felt it was important to consult with a doctor to better understand our situation. Unfortunately, in February we received the heartbreaking news that Keri has Premature Ovarian Insufficiency/Failure (POI/POF). While this diagnosis has been devastating, we’ve taken the time to lean on each other, our family, and friends while we process what this means for us. Since then, we've undergone extensive bloodwork and testing to explore our options moving forward. After careful consideration, we've decided that pursuing an egg donor is the best path for us. This approach allows Bricker’s genes to be a part of our child’s life while still giving Keri the opportunity to carry our baby. As we embark on this long journey, one of the challenges we’re facing is the financial aspect. The costs involved can feel overwhelming, and we don’t want financial barriers to stand in the way of starting our family. We’re reaching out to our incredible family and friends for support during this time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
