My name is Alyssa and my partners name is Jose. After 1 year together we decided it was time to start our own family. We tried and tried for 1 year and we finally got a positive pregnancy test. We were filled with so much joy. 2 days later I started to have cramping and I was bleeding a lot. I immediately went to the hospital where they told me I was having a miscarriage. We were devastated. 2 months later we decided to try again. We tried for 3 years and every month the test came back negative. I decided to go seek help so I booked an appointment with my OBGYN. We got a bunch of test done and she told me I had PCOS. My OBGYN suggested that I try IUI. After the first cycle I was confident it would work but unfortunately we had 4 failed medicated IUI cycles. I wanted to stop trying at that point but I didn’t. My OBGYN referred me to a fertility specialist where we did a bunch of tests again. At that point she recommended IVF.
