My husband and I have been struggling with male factor infertility for 5 years. This journey has been both challenging and heartbreaking, as we have dreamt of becoming parents for as long as we can remember. Every day, we are reminded of our aspirations to nurture a child when we volunteer to care for friends’ and family members’ kids. It brings us joy, yet it serves as a poignant reminder of what we yearn for but have yet to experience ourselves. The love we feel for those children is profound; we often find ourselves imagining how it would feel to welcome a child of our own into our lives. With each pregnancy announcement and every 1st birthday celebration that we witness, our hearts ache a little more. We wonder if we will ever have the privilege of creating those moments in our own lives. The fear of never being able to experience that joy is difficult to bear. This is why we are reaching out for assistance. We are hopeful that the support from this grant could help us take the next steps toward fulfilling our family dream through IVF. We understand that the path may be challenging, but we are committed to navigating it with love and resilience.
