James Aaron Dyson who is now 42 years old, was wrongfully sentenced to 50 years in prison when he was only 17, for shooting a man who had killed his best friend. Aaron spent the last two and a half decades fighting for justice and in August 2020, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office Conviction Integrity Unit investigated Dyson’s case and he was released after serving 24 1/2 years, for a crime he did not commit. Since his release, he married his high school crush, became a step father to her son, and they were hopeful in conceiving a baby of their own. After a year of unsuccessful conception, they were referred to a fertility treatment clinic, where due to their age and dwindling chances of conceiving, they were quoted almost $20,000 for their fertility plan, in which health insurance would not cover. After many tears and much time in prayer, they agreed to set their pride aside and reach out for help.
