My name is Hilda, and I have Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a hormonal disorder in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones that you usually present in women in small amounts. PCOS is one of the most common but treatable causes of infertility in women. In women with PCOS, the hormonal imbalance interferes with the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation). If you don't ovulate, you can't get pregnant. My husband and I have tried to get pregnant for the last ten years. There has been no luck with six IUIs (Intrauterine insemination) and 2 IVFs (In vitro fertilization). We want to try one last time by asking for your help by donating to our fundraiser.
