My husband and I are seeking financial assistance to help make IVF possible as we work toward growing our family together. I know my current situation is unusual in some aspects but I hope you still consider helping us along this journey. I was previously married and after having two children, my husband and I made the decision to undergo a tubal ligation. At that point in my life, I believed my family was complete. I would have never expected the loss of my first husband. Eventually I remarried, and my circumstances and hopes for the future changed. My current husband and I would love the opportunity to have a child together and experience growing our family as a couple. Unfortunately, because my previous tubal ligation was performed through cauterization, IVF is the fertility treatment option we are pursuing. While we understand the medical and financial commitment involved, the cost of treatment is a significant obstacle for our family as our current insurance providers do not cover any costs associated with IVF. We are working hard to provide for our household and our children, but the expense of IVF is more than we can reasonably manage without assistance. I work in law enforcement, and my husband serves in the Army National Guard. We are both committed to our careers, our family, and our community. We are not asking for assistance because we are unwilling to work toward this goal, but because the cost of fertility treatment creates a financial barrier that we cannot overcome on our own. Financial assistance would mean so much more to us than simply helping cover a medical expense. It would give us an opportunity to pursue something we genuinely hope for but might otherwise have to put out of reach because of the cost. We would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to receive assistance and for any consideration given to our application.
