My name is Cassandra, and I and my husband are trying to conceive a child. We recently found out that his insurance will cover his sperm retrieval however, my insurance will not cover the IVF treatments that I require. I have been diagnosed with Factor 5, which if you don't know puts me at risk for blood clots. So after talking extensively with a urologist, we have found it is more likely for me to be able to conceive and carry if under the care of an IVF doctor. Whom after talking with the IVF specialists have informed us that the best course of action would be for the eggs to be inseminated outside of me and the fertilized eggs implanted directly after so as that my body would be less likely to reject the implantation.
