With their permission, I established this fundraiser for my son Dylan and his dear wife Haley.
Their journey so far has been similar to that of many couples struggling with infertility. They prayed and planned for the blessing of becoming parents and to share their love with a child of their own. At age 20, Haley was diagnosed with PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). This diagnosis manifested itself with the typical, difficult symptoms (irregular, painful cycles, heavy bleeding and pain). Haley conceived a child naturally in May of 2014, however, the pregnancy was an ectopic one and became life threatening. Very unfortunately, Haley had to undergo a unilateral salpingectomy (right fallopian tube removal), which was quite a devastating blow to their fertility journey.
Dylan and Haley have gone through many ups and downs as they have pursued fertility treatment three times via IUI, funding these procedures themselves each attempt, but with no success. They picked out names, bought baby clothes, optimized Haley's fertility through a healthy lifestyle and used fertility trackers, all in an effort to maximize their chances to conceive and keep their hope alive.
Haley and Dylan experienced the joy of conceiving naturally in August of 2025, yet shortly after, they experienced another heartbreaking miscarriage. Their eventual next step was IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) as recommended by their fertility physician, which gives them the safest, best chance at conception.
Because Haley will turn 35 soon, they have elected to participate in a Shared Risk Program, as advised by their physician, which allows for up to six IVF cycles
What your support covers:
-up to six IVF cycles and unlimited FETs (frozen embryo transfers)
-embryo biopsy and cryopreservation
-embryo transfer
-medication, lab fees, anesthesia
The fees for medication, anesthesia and some labs are not covered in the Shared Risk Program.
What this fundraising gift would mean to them is EVERYTHING! Their insurance coverage is limited to reimbursement for some lab work, but little else. This journey has been deeply emotional, physically demanding and entirely an out of pocket expense for them. They have poured their resources and hearts into this process but the costs have become more than they can shoulder alone.
If you are in a position to help them in any way-whether it is $5 or $50, or by simply sharing their link they would be forever grateful.
If you are unable to give, please pray, which has power and meaning!
Thank you for reading their story as they become part of this village of folks who are on the same journey.
