After tying the knot in March 2018, my husband and I eagerly embarked on the journey of starting a family in December of the same year. Initially, our hopes soared as we discovered we were pregnant on New Year's Day 2019. However, the joy quickly turned to sorrow as we faced the heartbreaking reality of miscarriage just weeks later. Since then, our journey to parenthood has been fraught with heartache, as we have endured the pain of five more miscarriages. Each loss has tested our resilience and challenged our spirits, but through it all, we have remained steadfast in our desire to become parents. Determined to fulfill our dreams of having a family, we turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF) as a beacon of hope. Yet, despite our unwavering efforts, we have encountered numerous obstacles along the way. Month after month, we faced disappointment as our IVF attempts fell short, with my body producing only a handful of follicles, often resulting in cysts and failed extractions. Amidst the trials, there were moments of hope. With the guidance of our IVF doctor, we underwent innovative treatments, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, which showed promise in improving follicle growth. Yet, even in these moments of optimism, we were met with another setback, the devastating discovery of another pregnancy loss. The emotional rollercoaster we have endured has led us to a crossroads in our journey. Our current doctor has recommended egg donation as our best path forward, offering renewed hope for realizing our dream of parenthood. However, the financial burden of this next step is daunting, especially after exhausting our resources on previous IVF attempts. It is with humility and vulnerability that we turn to you, our cherished community, for support. We understand that these are uncertain times for many, and we do not make this request lightly.
