Garrett’s TESA
February 28, 2025(edited)
Garrett completed his first procedure called a TESA at the urologist on 2/17/25. He was so brave, and I am so proud of him. This procedure confirmed that he does have sperm, which is great news! The next procedure for Garrett will be the TESE, and will occur when we complete our egg retrieval. 2/19/25 we met via Telemedicine with our Texas Children’s fertility doctor, Dr. Huang. We discussed our background info, fertility goals, and the whole IVF process. The next step is for me (Natalie) to complete bloodwork, an ultrasound, and to discuss further our IVF timeline. My appointment is this Friday February 21st. Stay tuned for the next update!

First Clinic Appointment
February 28, 2025(edited)
2/21/25 I went into the fertility clinic and completed bloodwork, an ultrasound, and briefly discussed IVF timeline with the nurse. The follow up is next Thursday the 27th and I’m hoping we will solidify our timeline and map out procedures and medicine. We also completed our IVF paperwork and checked it off our list.
Follow Up Visit
February 28, 2025(edited)
My follow-up visit with Dr. Huang and Nurse Bobbi went well. My bloodwork and hormone levels are all looking great, and my ovaries have plenty of follicles. However, I do have a small mass on my left fallopian tube that will need further investigation before we can proceed with the embryo transfer. The plan is to begin medications in April, followed by egg retrieval and Garrett’s TESE in June. If all goes as expected, the embryo transfer will take place in mid-August or September! The billing department has informed us that payment in full is due on the day of the procedure, with no payment plan available. So, we are praying fervently for a miracle! We’ve completed two grant applications and are currently working on a third. Thank you for your continued love and support on this journey. We are incredibly blessed to have such wonderful people praying for us. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as our journey is just beginning.
