Hello, my name is Amber. I struggled to conceive for years with my now ex partner. I then sought help from a fertility specialist, which led to my cancer diagnosis last month. I was crushed to learn not only would I never be able to carry, but my cancer is grade 2, so everything needs to happen fast. I have decided to become a single mother and use a donor. I am so fortunate that my life long best friend has offered to carry for me. However, OHIP (ontarios health plan) has a two year wait list.. I do not have two years. The cost is extremely overwhelming and slightly discouraging. I am staying hopeful that a miracle will give me the gift of a life time.
