Our names are Alecia Tolliver and Anthony Tolliver, and we would like to share our journey toward becoming parents together. We have been together for nine wonderful years and have been happily married for the last seven. Before our marriage, we each had children from previous relationships. I am the proud mother of one son, and my husband is the proud father of five children. While we are grateful for the children who have already blessed our lives, we have never had the opportunity to welcome a child together. It has always been our dream to create a family that reflects the love we have built and to begin our own legacy as husband and wife. In 2014, I received heartbreaking news from my doctors. I was told that I would not be able to conceive naturally. Those words stayed with me for years, filling me with fear and uncertainty. Even so, I never stopped praying. I prayed that one day I would find the love of my life, get married, and have the chance to experience pregnancy and motherhood with my husband. Today, that prayer has led me here. My husband and I are now on the journey of trying to conceive together. While this path is new to us and has come with emotional, physical, and financial challenges, we continue to hold onto hope. Infertility is a journey that many people cannot fully understand unless they have lived it. It requires patience, resilience, and unwavering faith. The cost of fertility treatments and medical care can be overwhelming, but our desire to bring a child into our family is stronger than the obstacles we face. We believe that every step we take brings us closer to the possibility of holding our miracle in our arms. This journey is about more than having a baby. It is about building the future we have dreamed of since we said, "I do." It is about creating a legacy that belongs to both of us a child who is born from our love, our commitment, and our unwavering hope.
