My name is Heather and I am a wife to Briana. We are a military couple who are looking to start our own family. Unfortunately, our first IUI has failed. Our journey is complicated due to a previous diagnoses of Thyroid Cancer. Although I am currently in remission, the daily medication required to regulate hormones are variable, making our fertility experience a difficult and costly experience. Due to insurance not covering fertility treatment and medication due to “lack of a male factor” (as we are two females), we are struggling to afford our next fertility treatment.
