My husband and I have been married for 6 years and rapidly approaching our 40s (YIKES). I have struggled with all of the issues that come along with a PCOS diagnosis since my early 20's. Despite working hard to lose weight and taking care of myself I am still unable to get pregnant. Fertility treatments are our only option at this point. My husband is a decorated Paramedic and unfortunately, they are drastically underpaid making fertility treatments almost out of reach for us to afford. We currently care for my 17 year old step daughter who will also be starting college next year so our budget is maxed out. I used to cry at the thought of not being able to have a child and it makes me sad over the last 10 years that acceptance is starting to settle in. We would give anything to make it possible but need it soon as I am approaching an age of introducing more complications.
