Their story

If you know us, you know that becoming parents has always been our biggest dream. For the last eight years, Daniel and I have been walking a road we never imagined we’d have to travel. When we got married, we dreamed about the little things most couples do, hearing tiny footsteps through our home, bedtime stories, family vacations, Christmas mornings with excited little faces, and watching our children grow. We truly believed those moments would come naturally. Instead, we’ve spent the last eight years navigating infertility. Our journey has been filled with countless doctor’s appointments, medications, blood draws, ultrasounds, painful procedures, and multiple rounds of fertility treatments. Every appointment brought hope. Every treatment gave us another reason to believe that maybe this would finally be the one. And every time it wasn’t, we found ourselves picking up the pieces of our hearts and trying to find the strength to start over. Not only has infertility been emotionally and physically exhausting, but it has also been financially overwhelming. We’ve spent thousands of dollars pursuing our dream of becoming parents. Those weren’t extra dollars—they were years of hard work, sacrifice, and savings. Every penny was spent because we believed our future child was worth fighting for. Today, those savings are gone. We don’t regret a single dollar we’ve spent, but we’ve reached a point where we simply can’t continue this journey on our own. One of the hardest parts has been watching the world continue to move forward while ours has felt paused. We’ve celebrated pregnancy announcements, baby showers, and first birthdays. We’ve watched friends and family welcome children into the world, some even growing their families two or three times over while we’ve continued to wait. We celebrate every one of those precious babies with genuine happiness, but there are moments when we come home to a quiet house and wonder when it will finally be our turn. Through all of this, Daniel has been my rock. He’s held my hand through every appointment, every procedure, every disappointment, and every tear. More than anything, I want to see him become the father I know he was created to be. I picture him reading bedtime stories, teaching our child to fish and ride a bike, cheering from the sidelines, and showing them the same unconditional love he has always shown me. I know he would be an incredible dad. This journey has tested us in every possible way, but it has also strengthened our marriage. It has made us more vulnerable, more grateful, and more determined. We’ve learned to lean on each other, to love each other harder, and to keep believing even when hope felt impossible to hold onto. Our faith has carried us through the darkest moments. We don’t always understand why our path has looked different, but we trust that God is still writing our story. We believe He knows our hearts, our desire to become parents, and that this dream is worth fighting for. Our doctors believe IVF is now our best chance to finally have the family we’ve been praying for. While we wish we could do this on our own, the financial burden is simply more than we can carry after years of fertility treatments. Asking for help is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. If you know us, you know we would much rather be the ones helping others. But today, we’re choosing vulnerability because our dream of becoming Mom and Dad is bigger than our pride. If you’re able to support us—whether through a donation, purchasing a fundraiser item, sharing our story, or simply praying for us—we are deeply grateful. Every act of kindness brings us one step closer to the family we’ve dreamed of for eight years. If we are blessed with a child, they will grow up knowing they were never an accident or a surprise. They were prayed for through thousands of nights, fought for through years of heartbreak, and loved long before they ever took their first breath. Thank you for believing in us, praying for us, and walking beside us. We truly believe our story isn’t over yet, and we pray that one day we’ll be able to introduce you to the little miracle we’ve waited so long to meet. With love, Daniel & Maggie Craig 🤍
