6 years ago, I was told if I gave my daughter up for adoption because I was in no position to care for a child, it wouldn’t effect if I had any other children. That was a complete lie. Last August I had my second daughter, while she was in the hospital getting ready to come home, a worker from Dcpp showed up due to my first pregnancy. She asked to come to my house make sure I had all the essentials for the baby before she was released. I allowed it. She saw I had set up the nursery and had everything I needed. The next day I woke up to a yellow envelope. It was a warrant of removal for the baby. From there it took 9 months of jumping through endless hoops. Countless days of traveling back and forth to the foster home to spend child with my newborn. I spent the first 9 months sleeping in a car although I had a home, so I didn’t miss a moment my daughter’s eyes were open. 9 months she was finally returned to my custody. The judge ordered Dcpp to help with the back rent I owed due to the simple fact I could not return to work during this time. They decided ‘they didn’t want to’. And we were evicted we have lost everything but the clothes we were able to carry.It’s been the longest month of our lives trying to find a new home with now an eviction on my background. I finally found a landlord that will give me a chance. A chance to return to work and put a roof over my daughters head. But they need a total of 5000 for security, first and last months rent. I have about half of that. If anyone could please help me secure this home it would be greatly appreciated, I’ve tried social services I’ve tried local churches but it’s been a month and no one has helped.
