Hi My Name is Aisha and I have endometriosis. For those who don’t know: Endometriosis is a chronic and painful disease that occurs when endometrium (tissue that originates from the lining of your uterus) starts growing outside of your uterus, where it doesn’t belong. The endometrial tissue that grows outside of your uterus is called a lesion or an implant. These lesions are fueled by a sex hormone called estrogen. When estrogen levels rise, these lesions (patches of endometrial tissue) can grow. Later in the menstrual cycle, they may break down and shed. This can cause pain throughout the month. With that comes Infertily. I have eggs that are completely fine, but my eggs have a hard time dropping during the fertility aka ovulation. Eggs that do not drop means no pregnancy. I work for a company that does not provide Infertily insurance for there employees. So in order for me to get the ivf procedure I have to pay out of pocket. Before I was diagnosed with endometriosis I was able to get pregnant. 2019-2011 I was pregnant twice and miscarried both times. I stopped trying because I went through a phase of depression. When I recovered, my partner and I started again for many years, to find out I was not getting pregnant due to endometriosis. Ivf can cost between 10k-30k every time you try to conceive and I cried because I new I could not afford this procedure.  Please is you have it in your heart or budget please donate.
