In 2013, I (Heather) had my fallopian tubes removed due to rupturing ovarian cysts, scar tissue, and endometriosis, which has lead us to our only option of conceiving through IVF. Due to age and a low egg count, we have opted to take the route of an egg donor. I will still be carrying the baby, and fortunately, we're still able to use Talon's sperm. Talon and I have spent 11.5 years together doing the things we love (camping, fishing, boating/surfing, riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, mountain biking, and exploring) and we are ready to have a little buddy to experience all of these wonderful things with us. We are starting our IVF journey, and cannot move forward until we have reached our end goal amount, so we are reaching out for support from our friends, family, and community. When we think of our future, we see all of our experiences with our child by our side. We are just so excited to bring a little one in to this wonderful world we have experienced for ourselves, and live the life of parenthood that we have watched others live from the sidelines for several years. We've been having so much fun being a bonus Aunt and Uncle to our friends' kids, but we are so ready to have our own! Egg Donor cycle: $21,246 cycle fees including medications. $5,000 donor compensation $500 anesthesia PGTA testing paid to the lab for 10 embryos: $2k- this could be more or less depending on how many embryos we end up with and if we want to biopsy and test them all. Total for donor cycle: $28,746 FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer): $4,004 cycle fees $800-$1,000 medications paid to the pharmacy. Total for FET cycle: estimated $5,004 If we just need to do one FET and get pregnant: $33,750 If we need to do another FET cycle if the first one doesn't result in pregnancy, then we would pay the cycle fees and medications again. We are traveling to Idaho Fertility Center's Idaho Falls location for treatments, which is a 568 mile round trip from our home in Boise, or to Utah Fertility Center in Ogden or Salt Lake City, Utah. Any additional costs outside of the above total treatments and medications will be put toward travel and expenses associated with traveling.
