Grant and I met when I was already almost 38 years old after decades of me searching for him and finding the right person to start my life with. We knew very quickly that we had found our person in each other. After we got engaged we started trying to build our family. We have many factors working against us my age (41), low amh, and one blocked fallopian tube. We were basically told by two reproductive endocrinologists that the only way we would be able to start our journey is through IVF. We have done 4 medicated cycles and one iui and have been unsuccessful. With my age we know starting ivf as soon as possible is important but the financial aspect is overwhelming. We both have insurance through our employers and neither of them cover infertility. We have already spent a significant amount of money trying to conceive and we need help to start our family. Grant works for the state as a tax auditor and I work in special education. Starting a family is very important to us and we hope to be successful with IVF before starting the adoption process if necessary. We will make great parents and can provide an amazing life for a child.
