Those of you who don't know us, we are Jon & Kim Thomas, married 6 years and been together 8! My husband is in the Air Force and I am a proud military wife. Jon & I met while he was stationed in Japan and we've been inseparable since! We have 3 rambunctious fur baby dogs, Lily, Totoro, and Kilala!!! Ever since I was a young girl, my dream was to become the best mom in the world. I am so fortunate to be a fur mom to our amazing dogs but I am yet to become a mom to our rainbow baby. We have been on our TTC (trying to conceive)  journey for 7 years now. I have Endometriosis (painful tissue disorder inside uterus), fibroids, and cysts, but was very fortunate to meet a reproductive endocrinologist in Jacksonville, FL that believed in me and performed surgery in 2020. The removal of Endo was supposed to help us conceive but it has not happened yet. I also have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which makes my hormones out of control and as a result I cannot ovulate on my own. We have tried 6 Ovulation Inductions, 3 IUIs (intrauterine insemination), and experienced 1 miscarriage, 1 ruptured ovarian cyst (worst pain in my life), and now since I am turning 39 in October this year, we have made the big decision to move onto IVF (in vitro fertilization) which is not covered by our insurance. This means, all our doctors visits, medication, procedures, etc., everything will be out of pocket. On top of everything, our fertility clinic is located in Jacksonville, FL so every time we have an appointment it takes 2.5 hours just to get there. Our TTC journey has been very painful, exhausting, and difficult but we are determined to NEVER GIVE UP until we meet our rainbow baby!! We are both taking necessary supplements, currently on a high protein low carb diet, and trying our best to be in the best health condition physically and mentally for pregnancy and delivery. We haven't been too open about our TTC journey but we've decided now is the time. We sincerely appreciate any kind of support for our next step, IVF journey. Our goal is to meet our baby next year! IVF is our last resort and we'd love to finally conceive and meet our rainbow baby!!
