My name is Kes. I am 44 years old and will turn 45 this month. I am already the proud mother of an amazing son, but for as long as I can remember, a piece of my heart has dreamed of having a daughter.
For years, I wondered if that dream would ever happen.
Then something beautiful happened: I found love. I met the man I want to spend my life with, my fiancé, and for the first time in a long time, the dream of building a family together felt real. We began trying naturally to conceive, excited about the possibility of having a baby together.
Then today, I received news that broke my heart.
My doctor told me that I am going through menopause and that becoming pregnant naturally is no longer a realistic option for me.
Hearing those words was devastating. I finally found the person I want to marry and raise a child with, only to be told that my body may no longer be able to give us that chance naturally.
But our story is not over.
Before I ever met my fiancé, I had already taken a huge step toward becoming a mother again. I paid more than $7,000 of my own money to a fertility clinic toward IVF. My dream was to one day welcome a baby girl.
Now that dream means even more because I would have the opportunity to raise that child with the man I love.
The hardest part is that IVF is expensive, I have already invested thousands of dollars into this journey, and walking away now would mean walking away from not only that money, but possibly my final opportunity to experience motherhood again.
That is why I am asking for help.
Every donation will go toward completing my IVF treatment, fertility medications, [microsorting] procedures, testing, travel, and the remaining costs required to give us a chance at bringing our baby home.
I have learned that life does not always happen according to our timeline. Sometimes love arrives later. Sometimes the dream takes longer. And sometimes we have to allow other people to help us cross the finish line.
I am not ready to give up on my dream of becoming a mother again.
Thank you for helping us fight for our chance to become a family. ❤️
