We (Kate and Ian) have been struggling with infertility for two years. We have been together for nine years and we recently celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary. We imagined we could get married and enjoy marriage for a year and try to get pregnant. I’m 2021, we decided it was time to start our family. We were excited but never imagined that we would struggle and our journey to start our family would be so difficult and full of such heartbreak. We tried naturally for months but with Kate’s PCOS we were referred to a fertility specialist. We did fertility testing and found that everything looked great and our only issue was Kate’s PCOS causing her not to ovulate regularly so the doctors started orally medicated cycles. Fast forward 11 months later and oral medications did not result in any babies for us. We had a positive pregnancy test once, and we’re so excited that we finally did it after all the treatments. Sadly, the pregnancy did not progress and we lost the baby. After 11 medicated cycles under the fertility specialist and one miscarriage, the doctors say IVF is our best chance at starting our family and getting our rainbow baby. IVF is extremely costly and financially will be a struggle. We are excited to take the next steps with IVF to start our family and give our furbabies some human siblings. We want so badly to be parents and the money raised will go towards our IVF costs to help us make Baby Eppig.
