My name is Leah and my husband Jeremy and I have been trying to conceive for over 5 years now. 2 of those years have been spent with a fertility specialist. My husband is a firefighter and I am a hairstylist. This many years into fertility treatments means we have started to exhaust our savings. We have paid for everything out of pocket so far as our insurance does not cover infertility. I struggle with endometriosis, PCOS, Hashimotos disease, and have dealt with endometritis and elevated BCL6 relating to my endometriosis. I have had one pregnancy that resulted in a miscarriage, and we are finding out that genetic testing is what may actually be what helps us successfully conceive. We've tried everything up until now (IUI, multiple surgeries, medications, etc.). I have gone through one IVF cycle which resulted in only one chromosomally normal embryo. My doctor was hopeful she could retrieve more eggs than she did, but PCOS makes it hard. She suggests doing another egg retrieval and more genetic testing just to be safe since we only have one embryo. It's just one chance at a life. Although we are very happy and relieved to at least have one, we are also very scared and worried about the egg transfer being successful. We are reaching out to ask for any help you are willing to give us in hopes of finally becoming parents. It has been a long and emotional road. We are extremely grateful for all the love and support we have received through this process. We aren't giving up on our dreams of being parents and we hope that you can help us make that possible.
