Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to check out our story. We are the Ortega family, Charlie and Meredith. A little bit about us - Charlie works for a non-profit as an IT Specialist, and Meredith is a grade school teacher. Our jobs keep us plenty busy!  Meredith has a teenage daughter from a prior relationship, she's a great kid and Charlie is a proud step-dad!  We have dogs, a cat, and some chickens, so we are labeled as the Ortega zoo. We are active in our churches and our community. We have been trying to add to our family for 5 years.  We tried rounds of IUI with no luck, so we believe IVF is the best route to go. It has been frustrating (as I'm sure a lot of others are in the same boat!) seeing all the negative pregnancy results, but we are very hopeful that IVF is the answer to our prayers! We are getting a little older in age, and believe it is our last chance at biologically adding to our family. Our insurances do not cover IVF related costs, and we have spent quite a bit for the visits and IUI.  Our area IVF locations have increased costs, hence why I started this fundraiser.  If you are able to donate any amount, we would be eternally grateful!
