Their story

Dear friends, family, and kindhearted strangers - our hearts are full knowing you have come here with hearts of love and generosity for us. Michael is an alumni of John Brown University and I (Katie) am an alumni of Evangel University. We were married in 2023 and very soon began trying to conceive, as I had been diagnosed in 2020 with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and knew conceiving would be a long road for us. In October 2024, we purchased our first home. We are hoping to fill our home with the love and laughter of children. In short, however, this road to parenthood has been difficult and full of ups and downs. Working through each disappointment, we have come to trust that God is leading us on a path to IVF. Michael and I believe strongly that God has called us to be parents. We dream of a house full of children who, with their own unique gifts and personalities, will glorify God and enjoy Him forever. The realization that IVF is the best path for us to become parents came after much prayer and seeking guidance from others. Treatment for IVF can be a long and costly process. Thankfully, we have been blessed with a strong support base and invite you to join in our journey as we move toward building our family. We are very grateful for any and all prayers and donations that you can provide to help us pursue this dream. Started the Journey & Hiccups Along the Way

Hello Friends, Michael and I have officially set off on our journey to becoming parents through IVF! Woohoo!! It would not have been possible apart from the help and community support we have received. We initially began an IVF cycle in March of this year, starting with the stimulation meds. However, about a week into the process, our Dr. cancelled the cycle and postponed us to the cycle starting in May (beginning just a week or so from when I am posting this). So right now, we need to order medications for this next cycle. This can add up to a few thousand dollars. I am hopeful that this campaign can help offset some of these costs. Again, thank you to anyone and everyone who gives to our campaign! Even $20 helps in ways you could never imagine. Mother\'s Day was this past Sunday, and, though I was emotional, I was reminded of how grateful I am for my mother and my mother-in-law. I hope someday I can be in their shoes and have a child of my own to love and support as they do with me! We appreciate prayers for the May/June IVF cycle and will keep everyone up-to-date.
