To have a child…it sounds so simple, but for us, this has been a journey filled with heartbreak and disappointment. Over the past few years, we have tried naturally and through various fertility treatments to conceive a chid. Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve our hearts’ desire. Our amazing experience of being foster parents has only intensified this longing. In October we will be starting In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), which is a much more invasive and even more expensive procedure, but our last option to have our baby. Unfortunately, fertility treatments are not covered by our insurance so all costs will be coming out of pocket. It is estimated to cost approximately $50,000.00 plus medications, which we are hoping will be successful on the first round. To share this part of our lives is challenging and makes us feel extremely vulnerable, but our desire for a child overcomes all of that. This process has already been costly, so now we humbly come and ask for help in making our dream come true. The support of our friends in family in this journey means the world to us.
