Help Us Complete Our Family: A Journey of Love, Loss, and Hope

Hi, my name is Yazmin.
In 2019, my world changed forever. I lost my mother — my everything — and while navigating that grief, I found out I was pregnant. After months of hoping and trying with my fiancé, this felt like a miracle. I believed my mom had sent me a blessing from beyond.
But just weeks later, I was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain. I was told I had an ectopic pregnancy, and emergency surgery was needed. I awoke from surgery to my fiancé in tears. A mistake had been made: both of my fallopian tubes were removed. The possibility of conceiving naturally was taken from me in an instant.
The only hope for us now is IVF — a process full of possibilities, but also painfully expensive. I didn’t know anyone who had gone through something like this. I felt isolated, broken, and uncertain of our future.
I worked three jobs trying to save up. But just as we were beginning to process our loss, my fiancé’s health deteriorated. He was diagnosed with kidney failure and placed on dialysis. Between medical bills and caretaking, we lost our home. At times, I felt like a burden. But love kept us going.
Despite everything, we held on. We got married on April 6, 2025, in a small, intimate ceremony at home. Because what truly mattered was our commitment to forever.
Now, we’re turning to our community — to you — asking for help to fulfill our dream of starting a family. IVF is our only path, and it’s one filled with hope, courage, and the memory of everything we’ve already overcome. Your support would mean the world to us.
We believe in miracles. We believe in love. And we believe that we’re not alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading and for being part of this next chapter in our story. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Yazmin & Luis
