Hi, my name is Amber. My partner and I suffer from male factor infertility. Back in 2019 my boyfriend was diagnosed with colon cancer just before we got together. He had to go through radiation and chemotherapy which was very hard on him. At that point and time we were not thinking about the future and having children as we had just got together and really just focused on keeping him alive. His cancer was pretty progressed already and had took over almost all of his colon. Unfortunately, the doctors didn't bring up freezing sperm before starting treatment either. I am sure you all are aware of the effects of radiation and chemotherapy on the whole body. Reproduction takes a HUGE hit! We have seen several doctors for both of us. Honestly, we were just looking for some hope that the chemo and radiation didn't have such a negative impact on his fertility. Everything is good with me, but they say with his extremely low sperm count and it'll never happen naturally. IVF is our only option, but it's so expensive and my insurance doesn't cover anything. We have still been trying naturally for 4 years regardless of the prognosis and still we are having no luck. Being a mom is super important to me as I am almost 31 and have no children. Any little bit of help coming up with the money for this dream would be such a big help! Thank you for taking the time to read.
