In 2015, I (Karla) went off birth control hoping to grow our family. We started off excited and hopeful for what our future had in store. Our hope and excitement were met with disappointment every month and year without a positive pregnancy test.
A couple of years after starting this journey, we decided to start fertility treatments with timed intercourse. We were still met with disappointment. It began putting a strain on our marriage, so we took a break to get back to enjoying our marriage. Once we were ready to try again, we tried a more holistic approach with vitamins and fertility tracking devices. After which, we were still met with disappointment.
This past year, we decided to start fertility treatments once again by way of IVF (in vitro fertilization). Everything felt exciting and hopeful again. Not only were the staff and doctors positive, but also the treatments were having positive results. The retrieval was successful, and we got a positive return. We were very hopeful when the transfer came to pass, only to be met with disappointment once again. Fortunately, we still have another chance.
Unfortunately, the process of the retrieval and transfer has diminished our finances. We have exhausted our resources, not only our own but also through family. We are asking for any little bit you can afford to donate, because every bit matters and is greatly appreciated.
