We are raising funds because my fiancé and I want to start a family together, but we are facing costs we cannot manage on our own. My tubes were tied at the end of my last pregnancy, and now the path to having a baby with my fiancé means paying for IVF or a tubal ligation reversal out of pocket. We do not have insurance, and even with insurance, IVF or getting my tubes untied would not be covered anyway. On top of that, we are also trying to prepare for the medical bills that would come with pregnancy. We want to try to get pregnant within the next year, and the financial barriers have made this journey feel even more out of reach. This has been very personal and emotional for us. All of the effort to jump through hoops and come up with enough money for IVF or a reversal has put stress on both me and my fiancé. Any support will go toward IVF or a tubal ligation reversal, along with pregnancy-related medical bills.
