My doctor diagnosed me with Hydrosalpinx and with only having one ovary, I was told I could not conceive naturally. I had surgery in March of this year to remove the tube in order to be able to pursue IVF safely. Before my diagnoses of infertility, my husband and I were hopeful to start a family. We would try and for months I would take pregnancy tests in hopes that we conceived. Deep down I knew something was not right, which is why I informed my PCP who then referred me to my fertility doctor. Once we were told we could not conceive, we just felt our dreams shatter and immediately became so heartbroken at the news. All we want is to be parents. As a woman, I feel more of the pressure and pain of not being able to naturally conceive not only for myself, but for my husband, who's biggest dream is to become a father someday. If we were to get this grant, it would completely change our lives and would grant us the biggest wish, and that is with the possibility of starting a family.
