Our names are Alexis and Derik, and this is our story! :) We met 10 years ago and have been married 8. In 2016, on the day of my bridal shower, one month before our wedding, I fell very ill, and was later diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This is on top of chronic headaches and endometriosis. This trifecta has unfortunately made me unable to carry a child. We must go through IVF to create our own embryos. We are lucky enough to be able to use our own! We got even more lucky and unbelievably grateful for my best friend of 28 years, stepping up to carry for us. Because of this selfless amazing gift, we have the opportunity to try and have our own child. We have been through so many trials and tribulations in our 10 years, that we are more ready than ever to make this work. This is where we need your help! This process will be around $50,000-$75,000.
