Ten years ago, our lives changed forever when we welcomed our beautiful child into the world. In that moment, we dreamed of one day growing our family and giving our child a lifelong sibling bond. Tragically, the past decade has not been filled with the joyful celebrations we envisioned, but with intense physical pain, medical trauma, and unimaginable loss.Following a difficult C-section, everything changed for my body. For 10 long years, we have quietly fought a devastating battle with secondary infertility. Instead of a new baby, our journey has brought repeated pregnancy loss. I have endured four heartbreaking ectopic pregnancies and one miscarriage. Along this painful road, I was also diagnosed with fibroids, adenomyosis, and severe endometriosis.As a direct result of the ectopic pregnancies, my left fallopian tube had to be surgically removed. My remaining right tube is only partially open, making natural conception a medical impossibility.After years of endless consultations, testing, and procedures, our specialists have given us our final truth: In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is our only realistic chance left to welcome another baby into our arms.This road has been physically grueling, emotionally exhausting, and financially overwhelming. Yet, our dream has never faded.
