My name is Kendall, and I have PCOS which affects approximately 5-10% of women. My husband John and I have been trying to conceive for about 6 years, and we had some success about 2 years ago but unfortunately it ended in an ectopic miscarriage which left me with only one functional fallopian tube. This has made conceiving even more difficult than before. We have been working with a specialist and we have reached the point where IUI is the next step. This procedure isn't as involved as IVF but it still requires multiple ultrasounds, medications and procedures. We have been through many struggles over the past few years but we always try to remain hopeful for the future even when it's not easy.
