Gift of Parenthood is a non-profit that helps couples struggling to create a family with education and infertility assistance grants. Think of it as a “go fund me” page focused solely on helping couples create a family. Steph and I were working toward starting a family for almost six years. We were as far along in our journey as beginning to interview surrogates, when we were surprised with wonderful news that Zoey was on her way into our lives. We were overwhelmed with happiness and felt so fortunate to be so lucky. Along our journey, we became aware of the emotional and financial challenges that so many families with infertility face that prevent or delay them from creating a family. Average Infertility Procedure Costs: → Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): $1,000-2,000 per attempt → In-vitro Fertilization (IVF): $15,000-20,000 per attempt → Surrogacy: $110,000-160,000 → Adoption: $40,000-60,000 Zoey decided to grace us with her presence two weeks early, on April 24th. We think, because she wanted to say HI to the world during National Infertility Awareness Week! We can think of no better way to celebrate our new family than to help other couples start theirs.
