My name is Thomas Alexander. I am intersex, before I became pregnant both my partner and I were told we were infertile. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and experiencing many complications due to my intersex condition. Genetic testing has revealed the baby is a girl which means I will need treatments to prevent veralization. I will also have to undergo hormone therapy to support the pregnancy and carry to term. I also have Hereditary Coproprphyria which will require 4 days of Panhematin infusions every month. My insurance will not cover any of these treatments. They are my little girls only hope for survival.
