My name is Kori and my husband is Jeff. We have been together 10 years and have been married for 4 years. Together we have been through 6 moves and recently moved across the country from our family and friends for Jeff’s job. We have two fur babies together, Cooper and Penny and recently lost our first furbaby, Kit. Our family is almost complete… but there is a gaping hole that we want a child of our own to fill. I have endometriosis (aka endo) and have had 5 surgeries for this disease alone. Due to the lesions and scar tissue as well as the damage it has caused, I have been diagnosed with infertility. My left ovary is unable to produce eggs and is now wrapped in my bowels. My right ovary produces a very low number of eggs. Our dream to have a child is so strong that we have endured 4 failed cycles of IVF and are currently in the middle of our 5th cycle. Prior to the beginning of our IVF journey, we suffered through 3 heartbreaking miscarriages. At this point, we have completed 3 retrievals and had one cycle cancelled right before retrieval. We did one transfer this summer, and despite all our prayers our little embryo didn’t make it. We believe the next one will be strong enough. We cannot lose hope that we will be able to complete our family. Our insurance helps some, which we are extremely grateful for, but we still are incurring mounds of debt that will be difficult for us to recover from. We are willing to try as much and as many times as we need, but that comes with financial burden. We have been told that IVF is our only chance. Our wonderful doctor and medical team is working hard to help us make our dream come true. We have both always wanted to be parents and truly believe we would make great parents. We have the love and motivation to love a baby with our entire heart. We have always wanted our own baby and pray our day will come.
