Hello, my name is Sabrina, and my husband’s name is Gunner. We have been married for six years and have been on our fertility journey for seven years.
I know we began trying for a family before we were married, which may not have been the ideal timing for some people, but I was already aware that I had fertility challenges and knew conceiving might not come easily for me.
Over the years, we have pursued fertility treatments on three separate occasions. The first time, it took nearly two years before I finally became pregnant. We were overjoyed to learn we were expecting twin boys. Tragically, at five months pregnant, I went into labor prematurely and gave birth to our sons, who did not survive.
After spending time healing from that loss, I felt ready to try again two years later. We returned to our fertility specialists with hope, but despite our efforts, we have not been successful in achieving another pregnancy.
We are now at a point where our doctors believe IVF is the next recommended step. While we understand why they are suggesting it, the financial cost of IVF is overwhelming, and at this time it feels beyond what we can afford.
This journey has been filled with heartbreak, resilience, and hope. We continue to hold onto our dream of growing our family, even as we face difficult decisions about what comes next.
