IVF for our rainbow

My name is Kasarah. My husband and I have been married for five years. As soon as we were married, I stopped birth control. After a year of no pregnancy, we became worried. 6 years later we saw fertility specialists and were told the only option is IVF. This past summer we finally took the plunge after losing my grandma and oldest dog, Icarus. We needed something great. We followed the doctor’s orders and it came down to egg retrieval day. They gathered about 24 eggs. We were so hopeful. The next day we received the call. Only one egg was maturing with sperm and at a very slow rate. Days later we received the next call. We didn’t have a zygote. That was it. We had one embryo that didn’t make it into my body. We were devastated. I can’t say this hasn’t taken a toll on us, but we are still hopeful. We need a second round of IVF and found a doctor that will help a little more than last to give us our rainbow. No amount is too small. We even take prayers.
