My name is Lauren, I am 29. My fiancé and I have been together for 9 years. We have been trying for a year and a half for a family. We have had 3 losses within 6 months and needless to say it’s been the toughest year we have ever had to go through. We just recently found out that our only option is IVF due to both of us carrying a gene for spinal muscular atrophy. This is devastating and we immediately lost hope knowing how expensive things can get. We both have good jobs, he’s a truck driver and I’m a hospice nurse but unfortunately with the expenses in the world today we don’t have much in savings to even consider paying out of pocket.
