IVF Journey to Starting our Family!!

My name is Tyesha Williams and I have Polycystic ovary syndrome, commonly referred to as PCOS for those who may not know. A hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. One of the side effects causing infertility issues making it difficult to conceive. PCOS is also the cause of my eggs immaturity during ovulation. My Wife and I have tried to get pregnant for the last 2 years; however, the journey has been hard. We have tried at home insemination as well as 6 rounds of Intrauterine insemination (IUI). All of which have been unsuccessful. Being a retired Veteran my VA health care has paid for the IUI procedures but will not pay for IVF due to my wife and I being same sex marriage. Which was very heart breaking to know. Now, as we process the emotional aspect of not being able to conceive we have to take in being denied financial assistance because of our life choices. Reaching out to the community through this program we remain optimistic that we will be able to start our journey come April. We are asking you to help us on this new path by donating to our fundraiser. We are seeking assistance with the financial burden of in vitro fertilization and we would be honored if you could help.
